Who is letting the property

Price

The price shown for the dates chosen is the total for the stay, final cleaning included. The tourist tax of the Municipality of Modena is not included: it is paid separately during online check-in with Vikey.

Payment and confirmation

The total is paid in full at the time of booking, by card, on Stripe's secure page. Card details do not pass through this website.

The booking is confirmed once the payment succeeds: the confirmation is sent immediately by email to the address provided.

Cancellation by the guest

Bank charges are the fee withheld by the payment network on the original transaction.

• Up to 7 days before the day of arrival: full refund, less bank charges.
• From 7 days before the day of arrival onwards: no refund.
• However, if the same nights are booked by another guest, we refund the portion that has been re-let, less bank charges.
• No-show or early departure: no refund for nights not used.

How to cancel

By writing to guidodecarli99@gmail.com or +393349905709 (also on WhatsApp). The date and time at which we receive the message apply.

Cancellation by us

If for any reason we have to cancel the booking, the guest receives a full refund of the amount paid, including bank charges.

Refunds

Refunds are made within 14 days to the same card used for payment.

Change of dates

You may ask to move your stay: if the new dates are available we will move it, with any difference in price.

Right of withdrawal

For stays on fixed dates, the 14-day right of withdrawal provided for distance purchases does not apply (Article 59(1)(n) of the Italian Consumer Code, Codice del Consumo, Legislative Decree 206/2005). The cancellation rules above apply.

House rules

By booking, the guest accepts the house rules on their own behalf and on behalf of everyone staying with them.

Governing law and jurisdiction

Italian law applies. For disputes with a consumer, the court of the place where the consumer resides has jurisdiction.

Personal data relating to the booking

The data controller is Modena Palace Suite, sole proprietorship, VAT no. 04126220369, Via Emilia Centro 283, Modena. For any request concerning your data, write to guidodecarli99@gmail.com or +393349905709 (also on WhatsApp).

To make a booking we collect your first name, surname, email, phone number, dates, number of guests, any notes, and the date and time at which you accepted the conditions. This data is used to manage the stay and to contact you (performance of a contract) and to meet tax obligations (legal obligation). Card details are processed only by Stripe: the website never sees them.

Before arrival, online check-in takes place with Vikey: there each guest enters their own identity document, which is reported to the police (Questura) as required by Article 109 of the Italian Consolidated Law on Public Security (Testo Unico delle Leggi di Pubblica Sicurezza), and the tourist tax is paid.

Retention and rights

Payment-related data is kept for 10 years, as required by tax law; other data for 24 months after departure. Providers outside the European Union operate with the safeguards provided for by the GDPR (Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses).

You may at any time request access to your data, its correction, its erasure where there is no obligation to retain it, the restriction of its processing, object to its processing or receive a copy of it. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, garanteprivacy.it).
